DIVER'S HEAVEN
BALICASAG ISLAND
About Diver's Heaven
The northeast side of Balicasag Island features a steep slope with a shallow top at 10 meters, offering views of Panglao Island to the north. Underwater, divers encounter an abundance of marine life resembling an aquarium, including Gold band Fusilier, Big-mouth Mackerel, Midnight Snapper, Red tooth Triggerfish, and Turtles. Along the reef edge between 10 and 15 meters, divers can admire impressive corals such as the Brown Daisy coral and large Bucket sponges. The recommended dive direction advises starting with the steep slope on the left shoulder, heading towards the cathedral in a northwest direction. As the dive progresses, the slope becomes steeper to the north. Alternatively, divers can explore the slope with the right shoulder on their right, leading towards the Black Forest in the south direction, depending on the direction of the current.
