CATHEDRAL

BALICASAG ISLAND

About Cathedral

The dive site presents a captivating wall adorned with grand overhangs, ledges, and gaps, creating a cathedral-like ambiance that illuminates beautifully on sunny days. Among the marine life, yellow bucket sponges thrive within the overhangs, while the wall boasts large and vibrant sea fans. Barracudas, Anglerfish, and snub nose drummers frequent the shallower waters, while Big-mouth Mackerel gracefully roam the deeper blue expanses off the wall. Close to the wall, numerous Golden Sergeant fish, Midnight Snapper, Pyramid Butterflies, and One-Spot Snapper can be observed. The recommended dive direction advises starting with the wall on the left shoulder, proceeding southwestward.
