We would like to welcome you:
To our new one-stop ‘PADI Dive Resort’ located at the heart of the 800-meter stretch Alona Beach within the premises of the beautifully and recently landscaped Lost Horizon resort.
Our facility opened its doors early February 2008 at the beach front, 22 meters away during high tide.
We have new equipments, new tanks, new boats, new training pool and highly trained staff to provide you with the best services.

Management:
Managing Director: Holger Horn, PADI Master Instructor, German. 12 years of diving experience within the Philippines and 11 years scuba diving business experience.
Manager Japanese Market: Rena Sugiyama, PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, Japanese. 13 years of diving experience within the Visayas region and 10 years scuba diving business experience.
Secretariat: Inquiries, reservations, billings and staff supervisor: Ana Liza G. Mandin, Filipina, and Open Water Diver. 8 years SCUBA business experience.

Business partners:
Karl-Heinz Epp (PADI Master Instructor), managing partner of Savedra Dive Center in Moalboal, Cebu and Manfred Langer (PADI Master Instructor) from Seven Seas Aquanauts Maribago and Plantation Bay in Mactan, Cebu. The two partners have been in the business for about 50 years collectively.

Instructors, assistant instructors, dive masters and guides:
All professional staff are renewed PADI professionals with continuing education program and updating themselves with all important SCUBA diving changes. Most of our instructors work full time and have certified several hundreds of students in all levels. Our guides are very experienced with thousands of dives within our area and beyond.

Our teams:
Our management team, secretary team, instructor team, dive master team, boats crews team, compressor operator team and maintenance team are highly trained, pleasant, environmental-conscious and always approachable.

PADI courses services:
SEAL Team (Kids program), Bubble Maker (Kids program), Discover Scuba Diving, Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Adventure in Diving, Advanced Open Water Diver, Emergency First Response, Rescue Diver, Master Scuba Diver, Dive Master and Assistant Instructor. We organize IDC’s (Instructor Development Courses).
Languages: We teach in German, English, Japanese, French, Tagalog, and others on request.

International banking services near the beach with ATM (BPI bank). We accept cash, credit card, traveler’s cheques and bank-to-bank money transfers. We change money with Indian money changers who always offer the best rates.

Special customer diving services:
One of our distinct services is on-spot customer care. The diver doesn’t have to carry equipment, crates, tanks, etc. from the dive center to the boat or the other way around. Our staff will take care of it. All our staff on the boats are divers and if you wish, they can assemble and/or disassemble your equipment for you. Divers don’t need to step up the ladder into the boat with the equipment still on his/her back and risking injuries by falling, slipping or bending joints. Prior to entering the boat our staff lifts the equipment into the boat.

Transfer services:
Round trip or one-way transfer: Cebu Mactan international airport to the dive center or vice versa.
Round trip or one-way transfer: Tagbilaran airport / sea port to the dive center or vice versa.
Roundtrip or one-way transfer: Cebu sea port (pier 1 or 4) to Cebu Mactan international airport or vice versa.

Dive boats:
One new and spacious 22m (10GT) traditional outrigger boat (made for SCUBA divers) and one speedboat. We are going to build a second 28m (25GT) safari boat of the same style this year.

Equipment:
25 sets Aqua Lung BCD’s in various sizes (XS to XXL); 25 sets of Aqua Lung regulators; long-sleeve 3mm wetsuits and shorties (XS to XXL); low-cut booties; open heel and full foot fins. High quality masks (Also with corrected lenses) and snorkels. Weight belts in different lengths; lead: 0.5kg, 1.0kg and 2.0kg. All equipment is brand new and changed regularly.

Tanks:
We have the following tanks in service: Aluminum 8L, 10L, 12L and 15L. All tanks are assembled with an INT-valve. For DIN-regulators we provide DIN-adapters.

Tank refills:
Our tanks are refilled in an area free of any disturbing influences to clean air. We change our filters every 50 to 60 tanks.

Maintenance:
We follow the industry maintenance standards: tank visual inspection annually; tank cleaning annually and hydrostatic test every 5 years.
After every use, our regulators, masks and snorkels are cleaned with an anti-bacterial detergent. In general all equipments undergo a monthly inspection/maintenance program.
Our maintenance staff is also available for customer maintenance services.

Environmental conservation:
We actively participate in environmental conservation activities such as Earth days, international clean-up days, world-clean-up days and conduct our own reef clean-up days on a very regular basis.
Our Managing Director (Holger Horn) conducts environmental conservation courses at Holy Name University in Tagbilaran City to Hotel-Resort-Management and Tourism students; Topic: ‘Saving our reefs’.
He is also the Squadron Commander Bohol of PCGA (Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary). One of PCGA‘s major mandates is environmental conservation, advocacy and protection.

Resort accommodations:
29 rooms ranging from: Economy, Standard, Modern Standard, Deluxe, Modern Deluxe, Executive Sun View, Suite and Family rooms. Newest rooms with split type aircon; all other rooms with wall type aircon. In all rooms are mini bar, refrigerator, cable LCD-TV, and fresh hot and cold water, private bath room and C.R., balcony or terrace (Economy and Standard share a common terrace). We also deal with other resorts in the near proximity, in case Lost Horizon is fully booked.

Resort amenities/services:
Restaurant with local and international cuisine, beach bar, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, laundry service, massage service, free Wi-Fi and desktop internet use. Every room has its own SAFE (you are able to set your own secure number combination).

Sightseeing tours:
Dolphin watching and island hopping with snorkeling or skin diving. Trips to Bohol Island: Chocolate Hills, Bamboo Hanging Bridge, Loboc River, Tarsiers, Butterfly Sanctuary, old Baclayon Church.

Packages:
5, 10, 15, and 20 dives packages, reasonable accommodation/scuba diving/scuba diving courses/transfers/breakfast/sightseeing packages for unforgettable individual or family vacation. You can always customize your own package and we will be happy to assist you.

Vacation opportunities:
SCUBA diving safaris for 3 days or more starting in Panglao to Moalboal or vice-versa: Instead of transferring with cars and ferries in between these two destinations we can organize a SCUBA diving safari (2 nights at Apo Island Negros, Dauin Negros or Santander Cebu south) to cover the distance.
We also start small (3 to 4 days) SCUBA diving safaris in Mactan Cebu, heading for Cabilao Island and ending in Alona Beach, Panglao Island.
Another beautiful option could be a SCUBA diving Island hopping vacation for 2 weeks or more starting at Alona Beach Panglao Island, heading for Siquijor Island, Apo Island Negros, Masaplod Norte Cebu, Dauin Cebu, Sumilon Island Cebu and the last destination Moalboal Cebu.
Our favorite safari: 7days Alona Beach Bohol – 3 days SCUBA diving safari – 7 days Moalboal Cebu. Ending the vacation in Moalboal is a good option because the airport is located at Mactan Island Cebu. We are very open to your ideas and together we will find ways in order to make the most out of your vacation with us.

Retail:
We sell the most important dive accessories, t-shirts, caps, etc. and a catalog is in the making wherein you can choose other dive equipments such as high quality BCD’s, regulators, wetsuits, booties, fins, masks, snorkels and other items.

Affiliations:
PADI = Professional Association of Diving Instructors, PCSSD = Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving, PCGA = Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, DAN = Divers Alert Network, PCG = Philippine Coast Guard (Re-compression chamber), VISCOM Hospital Cebu (Re-compression chamber). We are connected to 30 Travel agents/Tour operators.

Office/dive center hours:
0800h (8a.m.) until 2000h (8p.m.) When we conduct early morning dives, we open at 0600h (6a.m.) and night dives are usually done by 2030h (0830p.m.) at the latest.

Electrical system at resort and dive center:
220V. Every once in a while, we experience power interruptions (It is called ‘brown-out’ in the Philippines). This happens maybe once a week. Please bring a flash light. We can provide 220V to 100V or 110V transformers, if needed.
